Innovative Methods in Children's Education: Conversation, Consultation, and Wall Writings.
Share
In children's education, this week we are following these methods: the Weekly Conversation Method, the Home Consultation Method, and the Wall Writings Method.
WEEKLY CONVERSATION METHOD:
A half-hour conversation held once a week will provide an opportunity to cover a multitude of topics that we aim to teach our children. If this method is implemented consistently without any omissions, it will amount to 54 topics in a year and 540 topics over a span of 10 years—thus fulfilling our teaching responsibility at the very least. In order to implement this method successfully:
A fixed day and time for the conversation should be established.
The topics to be discussed should be determined and arranged in order.
It should be decided who will discuss which topic.

HOME CONSULTATION METHOD:
Consultation settings are among the most important environments where individuals develop themselves and acquire a sense of responsibility. In such environments, people are better able to perceive problems, fulfill their responsibilities more effectively, and better organize themselves. In this respect, every household should have a dedicated consultation day.

During these consultations, the following topics should be discussed:
The needs of the household,
The distribution of duties,
The household's weekly schedule, and
The problems in the home along with their possible solutions.
Children should begin participating in these consultations from the age of 6 or 7 so that they gradually start to mature.
To ensure the effectiveness of the consultation method:
The sessions should be held consistently without fail,
Even if the children’s ideas seem trivial, they should never be ridiculed,
Children should be given the opportunity to speak, and
The decisions made should be implemented; even if they are not, the consultation process itself should never be abandoned.

WALL WRITINGS METHOD:
Walls are among the most frequently observed surfaces in any environment. In particular, areas such as above the television, above the study desk, beside the dining table, above the refrigerator, the wall opposite the entrance door, as well as areas near mirrors and restroom exits, are the most viewed spots. Sentences displayed in these areas can have a significant impact on shaping children’s minds and aiding in the learning of various subjects. In this way, even a simple sentence on a piece of paper can make a substantial contribution to our educational efforts.
